Tom, Lluvias, OTTY,

I have many ideas for you that might be very helpful, especially in the areas of home education and self-education.

After spending decades trying to figure out what is wrong with our civilization, which is obviously not civilized, I found many categories of creative solutions to look past the globalist tyranny that now pulls most of the strings of politics and public opinion.

My thinking evolved. Slowly.

As a bilingual elementary school teacher for 28½ years, I tried to amend the textbook/lesson plan systems as if its weakness was a matter of inefficiency. I felt at the time that we were supposed to be schooling; schooling was a good thing and somehow we just weren't schooling efficiently enough. Oops.

I later curated evidence via John Taylor Gatto, and others, about how the school system itself was already running efficiently. Unfortunately for most of us, instead of being about human education, "efficiency" was about dumbing down students and giving them what amounts to animal training, efficiently.

What I had to awaken myself to was the idea that there are people (powers behind the throne) so greedy, so power hungry, so (in fact) evil, that they really don't operate from principles of care in their mind-molding shenanigans.

Even though, at my time of classroom schooling, I was trying to be better at schooling, I later discovered I could use some of my earlier ideas even when I came to understand the difference between schooling, as a kind of flea training, and education, which I came to understand is really a nurturing of the innate creative freedom of the sovereign individual.

As my thinking evolved and my ideas shifted towards a better understanding of real education, I began to curate a collection of educational tools, tools of self-education. I saw my role evolve as a coach rather than a teacher.

As a coach I attempt to facilitate self education because it seems to be the only real education.

K-12 schooling is 15,000 hours.

Basic maths and passive reading literacy, for example, can be easily acquired in less than several score hours, using independent study coaching methods.

Adding basic algebraic thinking competence and *active* literacies might bring the total to a couple hundred hours or so.

As much as I wamt to help facilitate education activities, my timing and schedule will be an issue. I could take on 20 or so independent study student contracts, one hour of my time weekly devoted to each individual on an individual basis, but all this would have to be done by way of email or snail mail correspondence.

When *does* the future begin? For me it depends on my journaling style.

Recently, after hearing too much stuff about reducing carbon footprints and sustainability, my style shifted to "not yet possible" journaling.

The future began, in my imagination, in 2030.

(Hint: *my* agenda ain't no "2030" type.)

Now I generally have the heart of a cranky old man, and a brain operating system like a spoiled child, but if there are any self educators or home educators out there that could use my ideas, I'd love to help.

I could coach those who want to self educate. Independent study style.

I'll be inserting another comment soon to explain some details. I am overjoyed to see a grass roots effort like OTTY sprouting up.

Bravo
